This spring, if you are a college student, remember Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries when moving out of your dorm. You’re probably wondering what to do with all that extra stuff you’ve collected throughout the year. Unfortunately, at the end of the year, students and their parents are often unsure of what to do with these barely used dorm room essentials.

What about donating them to Goodwill?

When you donate to Goodwill, you’re doing more than creating a more sustainable ecosystem: you’re helping neighbors find jobs. Donations support our programs that help people with barriers to employment get jobs. In other words, your generous donation multiplies the good we do as an organization and supports people who live next to all of us.

We make it easy.

Check with your university — we have relationships with several universities. In these cases, we place Goodwill bins throughout campus to collect room clean-out materials. Otherwise, Goodwill has nearly 30 donation locations at Goodwill stores, attended donation centers, or municipal recycling centers across the state. Click on our website link for locations, times, and addresses.

Great Partners Make for Impressive Results

Our partnership with Dell can help you recycle the old computer you don’t need anymore. The Dell Reconnect program allows us to take in your old laptop and recycle it or refurbish it and sell it at a low cost in our stores. We also provide these computers to our participants in a training program or while they are looking for a job.

Take the time today to drop off your college dorm extras to Goodwill. You won’t regret it. One donation becomes a force multiplier with the power to change lives every day.
